- Since 9600 is the only standard port rate you listed, use that one.

- Take that Sportster, and connect it to a normal computer/Comm program.
- Set the Comm program for a locked port rate of 9600 bps. Then from
- the terminal screen, issue an 'AT' and make sure the modem returns an
- 'OK'. Now enter the init string/setup you want the modem to have on
- power up. (i.e. AT&F1 or whatever you need). 'AT&Y0&W0' will store
- the config for you. Finally, enter an 'ATZ'.

- From this point out, the modem should 'wake-up' at the port rate it
- was at when the 'ATZ' was issued.
